Mother & Muse is a quarterly publication for the modern artistic woman through pregnancy, birth, and the first years of motherhood. It treats her as the protagonist of her own story rather than the subject of someone else's.

We will cover what she is paying attention to. The photographers whose maternity portraits keep appearing in her saved folder. The makers behind the bonnets and wraps and small ceramic objects in her home. The houses she would actually want to live in. The dresses worth photographing. The writers reaching across the experience to say what she has been thinking.

We will not write about milestones, list 12 things to put in a hospital bag, or call you "mama."
